To Nourish. To Flourish. Lean back into your true self.
"To become mindful is to become free, to have the capacity to step out of the rat race, the speed, the complexity, and be who we truly are." Jack Kornfield.

I stepped outside early this morning, lingering sleep dissolving from my eyes, my body, and my senses- welcomed by a cooling. A water speckled atmosphere. The freshness of the misty morning, just under 60 degrees. The renewal, the remembrance, the refreshing once again. Natures reminder, we can and are always beginning again.
Atha Yoga Nusasanam. Now the yoga begins. Lets take in a short practice for shifting perspective. For leaning back. For resting in.
As you take in these words, I welcome you to adjust your seat, rather than leaning in, might you shift your center of gravity back, over the hips, neck in its natural curvature. Take a big cleansing breath in, and audible sigh, let it go.
As your breath begins to smooth, let the collar bones widen to brighten the heart, and soften your shoulders. Relax your arms, hands in your lap and quite your gaze. Notice the breath as it moves in through the nostrils, let it glide down your heart space into your low belly. Gently shift your torso & leaning back as if resting to your witness self, the one that sees, that is kind, benevolent, more spacious, and unrushed.
Deep breath in. Deep Breath out. Now the yoga begins. Union, body, breath, mind & heart. May we be like nature, locally here elements of earth and water bring cool reprieve to the season of fire, light as July transitions to August.
Where-ever this is finding you, may you orient from your benevolent witness, more mindfully leaning back as you take in your experience. Access your witness self as you meet the bumps in the road. As you nourish within, may you flourish outwardly. Honoring your gifts in your your season, no matter how it looks.
From the wisdom of Morgan Harper Nichols, "You are free to explore what flourishing may look like in an open-ended way. It may look like expanding horizons, or deepening existing connections... Let flourishing happen, one day at a time."
May we nourish, and flourish- by leaning back into the ever-present witness self, that mindfully honors it's own wisdom and seasonal timing. Committed and unattached. Allow the unfolding. One day at a time.
Here with you in practice. In love & light.
