Hello dear ones,

I’m present to the heightened energy in my nervous system from working on the ‘to do’s'. I’ve personally been struggling with my own high expectations as of late. Noticing adaptations at times skilled, at times not. Cue the winds, the season of Vata, some restlessness. An opportune practice for nonviolence toward self. The winds are also aliveness. Now, having completed a few creatively focused to do-s that include updating a teacher bio and receiving my 300 yoga teaching certificate- I realize the inclination to rush onward.

And. The opportunity to pause. To ask. Can you take a moment to sense the completion? Allow yourself even a bit of time to say. Wow. Congratulations. You are worth it, all your efforts toward that task, for now, complete, it is enough. Beautiful efforts. You deserve all the kindness, the praise, the appreciation for persevering, for being with the ups and the downs, give yourself a moment to really be with.

Done is better than perfect.

For those times when you’ve felt the distress emerge from high expectations, can you let yourself have the moment to say “I see you.” “You continued to show up, and I see you.” Notice how that feels to receive from yourself. No dismissing. Honoring your breath. Letting the response be felt. Kind Focus, Possibility, and giving yourself the Gratitude, the Grace your spirit needs.

One question I was asked is a yoga philosophy, or quote that I live by ( how does one choose 😊) -  for now here is where landed:

“Spiritual life may seem complicated, but in essence it is not. We can find a clarity and simplicity even in the midst of this complex world when we discover that the quality of heart we bring to life is what matters most.“ – Jack Kornfield

The quality of heart we bring to life is what matters most. To practicing self-love this week, and to seeing yourself as an ever-evolving perfectly imperfect being that is always enough and deserving of your love. Here with you in practice. With love & light.
