Yoga Therapy & Group Classes
Yoga Therapy
Yoga Therapy offers a trauma-informed, holistic, and personalized approach to healing. Integrating yogic tools such as mindfulness, meditation, movement, breathwork, and lifestyle awareness, we create a framework tailored to your needs—focused on your goals, well-being and vitality. Rooted in wisdom teachings, this approach supports deeper presence physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually, facilitating healing from trauma and fostering inner alignment.
“I have found the sessions really helpful in a number of ways. I have learned exercises, stretches, breathing techniques and positions (like Waterfall) that I find calming, stress releasing and that lift my energy levels (and that I use outside the sessions also).
I am developing an awareness of where I feel things in my body and how things show up for me, learning how I can manage some symptoms with breath and movement. My attitude to my body is also changing to be kinder and more grateful for all the things my body does for me.
Even my husband has commented that I always seem to be in a better mood after this hour! Maya herself is always very calm, approaching each session with openness and gentle kindness.” - Jane L

Group Classes
I guide wellness practitioners and wholehearted seekers across diverse communities—both locally in Portland, Oregon, and online. I offer corporate, college, and private group sessions, including both movement-based classes and yoga philosophy gatherings.
Class styles include Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin, Restorative, and Adaptive Yoga. Each class weaves together mindfulness, breath, movement, and meditation through the lens of yogic wisdom teachings, Ayurveda, modern neuroscience, and complementary healing modalities. My inspiration is often drawn from nature, seasonal trends as well as past and present thought leaders and artists.
